Final Chapter Update

My writer's block has lifted. I think I'm almost done. It's coming pretty easy now so I should have it done within a week. I can't believe the end is so near.....ah, bittersweet. So here's a pre soundtrack soundtrack selection. It's not the official selection but a beautiful song that will set the mood for the emotions our hero and heroine are feeling. I have a couple of these songs but here's the first one. I'll share the other one in a few days. Thanks for hanging in there guys.

My worst fear has come to life.....

Yes, it has happened. I've been writing this epic tale of love and adventure for almost two years. And now at the very end......I have writer's block. *heavy sigh, hangs head low* I can't explain it or describe to you what it is like. I know how I want it to end and I know some of the dialog I want to use, but I'm having trouble filling in the gaps. I just wanted to post and let everyone know that I haven't abandoned it. I work on it everyday. I just end up scrapping everything I write. I have a notebook full of stuff I've written that I will probably never use. But I am bound and determined to finish it. I've made some really good progress this weekend. I'm hoping that this fog will clear in my head and I will be able to get it done by next week. If you are a person who prays...pray. If you are a person who sends positive thoughts and energy.....send. Thanks everybody for sticking this out. I'm sorry it's taking me so long.

I hope the next time you visit it will be to read the last chapter.

Playlist Disabled ~ Drat!

I so wanted this song to be playing when you visited my blog and it did for a few days, then it wouldn't play. So I went to the site where I get the playlist and it says the host has disabled embedding which means you can no longer use the song and that was the only version of that song I could find on Playlist.com. So I'm going to have to find another free playlist downloader and repost it. Until I can do that, here is the song in case anyone didn't hear it. It fits the story so well and I have always loved this song so I just had to use it.

New Video ~ There's No Me Without You

I made a new video for you guys to enjoy while I perfect the final chapter. This video showcases the magical chemistry between Pete and Ben which shines through in the way Heyes and Kid always seem to be touching each other. After it was complete and I watched it, I couldn't help but notice that it's Heyes who seems to touch Kid the most. But I think maybe it's Pete touching Ben. Peter was probably a very physically demonstrative person and that shows in his acting. And given the nature of each character, Heyes would be the one more likely to show his affection in a physical way Let me know how you like it.

The final chapter is coming along slowly but it is coming along Since the beginning I have had a very clear vision of how I wanted it to end, and I'm sticking to that vision, but getting from the end of chapter 33 to where that vision starts is proving to be the challenge. Please send me your prayers and positive thoughts and energy as I dig in this weekend. I will be taking my laptop with me to work and working on it when I'm on my breaks. I hope everyone has a blessed and safe weekend. Miles of dimpled smiles to you all.

Karen's Favorites ~ My Favorite AS&J Episodes and why

Here's a list of my top 10 favorite episodes and one of the things about each one that makes it a favorite. I have added more than one for the top three. I could probably make a whole other blog about why I love my top 3. But I'll try to keep it short here.

10. "The Pilot" The "Walk off" scene is exquisite.

9. "Journey from San Juan" Heyes is unwaiveringly adorable throughout. "Captain McRavish"

8. "Stagecoach 7" Heyes shoots his gun! (and if you watch really close, he gets his shots off a whole lot quicker than Kid)

7. "Wrong Train to Brimstone" The synchronized hoist up into the train car. And Pete looks fabulous in this one.

6. "Jailbreak at Junction City" "...somethin' smells around here." "Maybe the way you play poker."

5. "Smiler With a Gun" The boys collapsing onto each other in exhaustion - fantastic acting.

4. "The Day They Hanged Kid Curry" I can't pick just one moment. I think the whole episode is hilarious.

3. "The Reformation of Harry Briscoe" Lots of Heyes on horseback. The chaps. "If either of you boys would care to join us in the fellowship of evening prayer..." and the entire scene that follows. "Mr. Smiff." Shoshone. Heyes defends a woman! "It's Smith sweetheart." "I get terrible claustrophobee!"

The dive behind the bush. Kid takes four hits before losing at blackjack.

2. "The Bounty Hunter" Lots of Heyes on horseback. The chaps....oh, God the chaps. The bear hug. From "Heyes, look what's goin' on down there." to "Let's not make it a habit" is perfection. Especially getting to see Heyes use his gun. "Wait 'til I tell you. Alright, get down." Heyes' entire story about the mayor's daughter and the church suits and the wedding cake...absolutely perfect and hilarious. Heyes and Kid's explanation as to why it's inconceivable that they could be the notorious outlaws. The boys are willing to risk their own necks to report the injustice of what happens to Joe.

1. "The Posse That Wouldn't Quit" Lots of Heyes on horseback. Heyes in his undies. Heyes sings. The Kid shows off his nice butt and his shooting skill. The horse race to the picnic spot. The girls and their crushes. The love that grows between our boys and this family. "Did you have an Apache with you?" "Must be the entire devil's hole gang." "Hang little girls." The Kid looses yet another coin toss. The only time we ever hear Kids full name "Jedediah Curry. Shoshone and Carroll. Heyes in disguise as an unruly drunk. And OMG, when he says "Don't move a hair boys," his voice is so deep and sexy I can hardly take it.

"I got rid of my mustache, why don't you get rid of yours?" Heyes tosses his tattered old hat into the air and it lands on the street as they speed off into the next episode. The only thing that could have made this episode better would have been the boys wearing chaps and Heyes shooting his Smith and Wesson.
